S & P company was founded in 1951, since 1987 has been certified in the ISO 9001 system at the British Standard Institute, and since 1989 has been the first ISO 9001 company with the serial number 001 registered at the AENOR certification body. The main plant in Ripoll is in the picture. The overall production area, including further three neighbouring plants, is 100,000 m2. Thus, S & P ranks among the largest producers of fans in Europe.
Independent plants are also in other 6 European countries; on the American continent, there is a production plant in Mexico with 12,000 m2; other branches are in the USA and Australia.
The S & P business representations are in 60 countries all over the world.
In the commercial and export departments of S & P, apart from the large administration areas and underground garages, there is also a buffer storage fully electronically controlled with an area of 10,000 m2, with stacking in 5 storeys and with a large-capacity loading ramp for loading trucks.
The S & P test sites and laboratories, equipped with the most modern equipment, are a “National accredited independent test site” according to EN 45001-89, which also performs measurements for other producers. Measurements are performed according to the AMCA and BRITISH STANDARDS. At the test site, there are six permanent measuring lines for measuring the output characteristics of fans, including necessary control workplaces. Eduard SOLER patent applications for a motor with an outside rotor are from 1948; S & P started using it in fans many years before other producers. The latter producers started using this type of motor after S & P produced its first million motors.
